Founded in 1964 and originally part of the Bickerstaffe Young People’s Club, the club initially played in the Ormskirk and District Saturday Football League, operating out of an old air raid shelter before moving into a former Army Nissen hut for a number of years.
In 1997 after the award of a National Lottery grant, a new club house was built, officially being opened by the Earl of Derby in 1998 with the club gaining FA Charter Standard status in 2011.
The 2020-2021 season has seen the club switching leagues to the Mid Lancashire League due to standards dropping in the Wigan League.
